Glanenig Care Home is located in the heart of our village community, near Brecon, with the capacity to home 34 residents.
Talgarth Care Home is a beautiful converted and extended townhouse located in the conservation area Talgarth within the Brecon Beacon National Park. Our care home has a variety of 32 large and small rooms for people over 65 with or without dementia needs with a warm homely feel, excellent garden facilities, and a comprehensive activities program.
Our care home in Talgarth has 16 bedrooms with en-suite facilities and 16 bedrooms that have washing facilities. All rooms have a pleasant aspect, many of them looking over the River Enig and lovely scenes to the town or Brecon Beacons. Those on the ground floor typically look out over gardens. Rooms are decorated to a high standard and residents are welcome to add their own personal touches. We have two twin rooms that offer residents to share a room should they enjoy company, closer friendship or have a family member they wish to share with. Our food remains a popular aspect of the home with the residents. Choice is always offered including vegetarian and vegan options should they be requested. Any religious requirements are always catered for with advance notice.
We endeavour to provide the highest standards of care and we produce surveys and feedback forms on the regular basis, of which the summarised results get reported and actioned at our monthly management meeting. This enables residents and their families to give us honest feedback as we are always open to suggestions and ideas that can help improve the service.
Care Inspectorate Wales inspect the home to ensure we maintain a high standard of care. Talgarth Care Home will continuously look to improve the quality of resident and stakeholder experience.
General practitioner services
General practitioner services are provided by Haygarth Surgery supported by a twice weekly District nursing Service.
